Thanks Y, Brent & Doug:-) Yes the barbed wire adds a nice manly touch a. The sun gradient gives the sky a bit of interest a Doug. Send the camera backY!!! No way I feel 10' tall wiv me big black camera & massive lenses, I got no respect wiv me silver 350D:-)

Hi Rod, I think you should return the new camera for a refund.....LOL I like this, it is a great shot and would be good for a pattern contest as well. Yvonne

Well done Rod. I like the glow coming in from the sun. -COAmature

Another goodun' Rod. The conversion seems very well suited for this- I really like the inclusion of the barbed wire down low for some reason.

PS. I did stand up & had to look straight up to get this & I kept falling backwards. I think I will get one of them walking frames so I can sit onit for these type of picys:-)

Thanks Penny, Debi (luv it when you talk like that) Carole & Tommy:-) I did try the red filter Tommy but it seemed to darken the shadows too much. They ended up going just as dark after I used the curves tool in Photoshop so I probably could have just used the red filter (these were shot in Raw & converted in Canons DPP). The bright area in the sky is where the sun was just out of the picy so the gradient happens on its own. I gave it a light burn in to emphasise it more. I like how the pylon is in silhouette against the sun & the other half is lit by the sun. I wasn't sure this would be busy enough but I think our Penny has relaxed the rules a bit. ...............Thank gawd:-)

Tom, I think Rod had to lie down for this one and then call 911 to get back up! :-D Good one Rod - nice symmetry and I like the gradient color too. CJ

Well worth getting a crick in the neck for, you sly challenge poster you. Wonderful light and symmetry and detail. Did you use the red filter monochrome setting in camera? Penny it has to be darkish to get the contrast necessary to make it pop. -tv
