Thanks all for the tutorial on European paper sizes. Now I'm more confused than ever. But it was fun confusing Rod in the process of moving picys around as the missus advised me on what should be where. -tv

Great photo, Tommy. Light and composition are wonderful, and the dark expanse of water adds a special depth to it. The buildings and reflections seem to be playing tricks on my eyes, as I just can't figure out how the flag is there, looking like the bottom point is somehow cut off. It really makes you want to keep on looking.

It would have been a treat to see this in the diagonal challenge as well Tommy. Again, excellent. -COAmature

Another very nice one Tommy. The color and light seem really special here.

Rod is right, A4 is 8x12. A3 is twice as big as A4, A2 is twice as big as A3...etc.
Rod 04-Oct-2008 04:03
Thanks Lydia I feel much better after your reassurance:-)

It's the flag. It's perfectly in that stepped building. It just makes this image tops.

At first I didn't want the woman and child intruding on my space... but then I realized I need them to make it all in perspective and 'moving'. Wonderful. ~Lydia

Wow, TV. I think this is my favorite image of yours... ever. It's surreal.

You are going nuts, Rod. You're not imagining it. *grin* ~Lydia
Rod 04-Oct-2008 01:33
Geez I thought I was going nuts I was posting to a picy in Eligible & then it's in Exhibition & vise versa:-) Yes this works much better for me as part of your three.
Rod 04-Oct-2008 01:21
Another great light picy with the buildings displaying a similar tone it helps with the busyness. But trying to follow the Schooner Lines picy is doomed to failure I'm glad I didn't have to post just after it:-)
Rod 04-Oct-2008 01:14
A3 is twice as big as A4 Tommy.........Not very intuitive isit:-)
Rod 04-Oct-2008 01:13
A4 is our standard letter size. 210mm wide by 297mm tall. About 8" x 12"
ctfchallenge04-Oct-2008 01:11
Aam knows better but I think A4 is bigger than A3, which is the European letter size. -tv
ctfchallenge04-Oct-2008 00:45
What's A4 anyway? Penny Street
And tv, I totally agree with aam.
aam1234 03-Oct-2008 21:05
Come to think of it, if this were my pic I would print it big (at least A4).
aam1234 03-Oct-2008 20:40
Wait. Except the green leaves one :)
aam1234 03-Oct-2008 20:39
Honestly part II, Tom. Any of the three pics here will kick the behind of the ones in Eligible. But that's just me, though.
