Why thank you Tom. The IS was definitely useful as even at ISO 800 the shutter speed was only 1/160. The sharpness owes a bit to PP though. - Debi

The new lens is showing its worth. Beautiful sharpness and bg bokeh. (Maybe I need to get one to calm my shakey hands.) I think the composition works very well too. The forward tilt and crop of the baby's head provide a sense of movement and sponteneity that makes the shot vibrant and journalistic. One of your best Debi. -tv

Debi - this is really a great candid and I love the texture you captured on her skin. Nicely done. The crop brings the eye right to the mother. jano

Very expressive & colorful. The child adds a lot to the overall composition, ie: her stance & balance holding him.

IMO, the title is fine and it's a wonderful spontaneous smile you captured here!

Thanks Rod - I did mean a toothy smile - Debi

I don't think the kid matters much for this picy being out of the DOF all attention for me goes to the ladies face. I think the title could border on disparaging her teeth but we do say toothy grin don't we. Nicely done Debi.

I wish too - but this was a quick candid - Debi

Very interesting subject Debi but I wish I could see more of the child and her dress! :-) CJ
