Wot an interesting picy Tom I like the lady taking the picy & the look of happiness that's in the shot. The other thing I like is the old bloke looking on as though he's having trouble working it all out. This has the look of the shadows & highlight tool being used but like you say it's a struggle getting picys like this with the little Powershot a.

Yes Lydia! Terrible lighting & I only had my little PowerShot (up to ISO 800). Fortunately Cory brought his Rebel & the friend to the right took lots of keepers.
Thanks for the comment & noticing, I may pull it anyway. As the instructor of a recent photo workshop said, "Sometimes you have to sacrifice quality to get the shot".
