On the Water

I'm not sure if this one qualifies. I think it is a shadow because the bird was backlighted, but others might call it a reflection?

In good light, I think all shadows on water end up looking like reflections because of the reflectiveness of water versus the ground, which absorbs the light. Great shot Brent! I've been trying to get a decent shot of a Great Blue but they are so skittish around here. :-) CJ

Thanks for being flexible Aam, but I think Mikey is probably right in labeling it a reflection. I'm sending this off to pending as I don't want it to give others the wrong idea and then we end up with a bunch of reflection picys in the gallery.

This is a great shot of a GBH. These guys come to my pond every year and leave with some of my fish. It IS a reflection, tho, Brent. Oh, but our illustrious leader is saying its a shadow, so it must be so. Cheers, -mikey

if it was back-lit then it's a shadow. Cool shot, Brent.
