Thanks, guys. @ Brent, they'll come ... Google "patience", hehe. Once they find it, they'll be there every year. @ Kurt, excellent assessment! Yes, it was shot thru a window. On another note, Kurt; how long did it sit like this? Hummers (with wings, yes Doug ":^D) are a great case study on relativity. A long time for them is a few seconds. They land on the feeders when I'm hanging them up and have no fear, cuz I'm "standing still" by comparison. I could never move fast enough to be a threat. Cheers, -mikey

Beautiful bird and nice shot Michael! Rare to see them so still (must be recharging). Was this shot through a window? The bokeh has a slightly distorted look. -angioman

Very nice Mikey- love that metallic color on the bird and the OOF background is pleasing too. Even the chicken wire has a nice hue to it. Great work!
Seems rare to see one of these little guys just sitting around? I bought a nice hand blown glass hummingbird feeder a couple of weeks ago and was looking forward to getting the birds I've seen in the garden up near my front window. I haven't seen a hummingbird anywhere since I hung it and guess I need to google how to attract them- pretty sad :-(
