Very cool subject and wonderful lighting! Way to capture that "moment" of light. Wonder if a bit more sharpening of the shrooms might help this great pic, but might just be the tight DOF of that macro. - angioman

Thanks all - aren't these bizarre! Maybe not truly "big color" but this is the best I can do for now as we were taking down a tree and I saw these in a dead part of the trunk with this great light so I ran and grabbed my camera before it got smushed and the light shifted. Rod, I'm having weekend guests and 50 people over for a picnic Sat so I'll get back to commenting when things settle down - lots to do now! :-) CJ

Bizarre! We get these strange sory of mushrooms in the northwest, but usually earthy tones, this looks really wild. Nice find and well taken Carole.
