I like it Rod. I like the soft background, too. You did good. ~dtallakson

Thanks Kurt:-) I might change the title to lots of big colour:-) Anyhow hopefully this will end up in Pending.

Rod - you really know how to generate discussion! I kinda agree with those that feel this is lacks (for this challenge) due to the potpourri of colors, but still a nice pic. - angioman

Thanks Penny, Aamm & Tommy:-) They made me do it Tommy:-)

Oh dang. Now I have to retract my comment. What a mess of colors but somehow looks good just like a lot of recent painting. -tv

this is much better. Now the only wild and funky is the flowers themselves, and I like them.

This does look better. The other one had a funky light.
Rod 03-Aug-2008 05:48
Thanks Suey & Tommy:-) I've swapped it for one I took in complete shade this morning as the lighting was giving problems on the original. I think it looks a bit better.

Far out. I saw the next one first but the comment applies here too but there seems to be some burnout on my monitor - recently calibrated. -tv

A beauty of a flower. And the background is neat too.

Thanks girls:-) This was taken under the patio with early morning light just hitting parts of the arrangement. The blown parts are yellow on my screen Carole & in the direct sun maybe I should have shaded that part. I haven't got out of the house yet for this topic, gawd I'm lazy:-)

What gorgeous flowers you have Rod! I love the colors in this - very subtle. A couple of the petals seem blown and I wish they weren't cut off and that there was a bit more space on the right, but still a very nice picture. :-) CJ

Rod, with all those color tones and shapes, I might try playing around with giving it a soft and dreamy look.

I like it but, again, there's seems to be some funny lighting going on.

Thanks Brent, Jim & Doug:-) I'm always one challenge behind Doug:-)

Look everyone! Rod hit all the zones in color! -COAmature

Nice composition. I like it centered; the angle of the cone and leaves draws my eye outward. But I'd also like to see it a tad brighter in the upper half.

Nice shot mate, pretty color and again nice light. Kinda' wish that flower wasn't so centered. Maybe that is just my weirdness, but maybe alternate framing could be explored?
