Great comp and color here Jim, I'm wondering of some additional sharpening, or contrast, or quick shadow burn, or something could make it pop more- seems "almost" there :-)

Hi amm. Nope, this is another shot using an extension tube, and at a slightly different angle.
I only took this one to see if the purple center stood out well enough against the petals.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Jim. This photo is a crop of the previous one. If that's the case, I would think that a crop between the two (more from the first and less in this one) might work too. This is a guess on my part. love the yellow.
