Hehe.. not so fast next time Rod. Wait at least 6 minutes. Real art needs time to bloom. -tv

Thanks Penny & Tommy:-) I wasn't sure about the car picy Tommy, I posted it & 5 mins later I checked & it had no comments........so off to pending:-)

Rod, sorry to say but the car image in Pending is soooo much better for the topic. In fact it's great - really masterfully balanced and well seen color study. This does have some appeal with the pastels and all but I prefer something a bit stronger. -tv

He's a funny looking bird that's for sure! (but he looked a little more odd in the darker version and I'm not sure whether that means I liked it better).

Thanks girls. I lightened it up just for you:-)

Rod<, I played around with this and it really looks nice with a bit of brightening - it brings out the reflection and the white of the Egret. The top water looks a bit wierd though and maybe would look better cropped off. It makes the composition different, but it does make the bird stand out more. Just a thought (or 2 or 3)! :-) CJ

I think it needs 'brightness' to whiten the bird. Lovely composition, Rod. ~Lydia

Thanks Charlie:-) It does have a strange look but I think it's the ripples in the water. I took about five picys of this & they all look the same. Added a bit more saturation.

I like this a lot. But I do find the darker blue at the top to be a bit distracting. I think it belongs in the image, that the image would suffer without it. But it's a bit grainy. Perhaps a run through a noise reduction filter would help.

I honestly appreciate your showing of constraint here Rod as I don't want to see us end up with a gallery full of oversaturation, but I bet you could juice this up a tad more and still keep it natural looking- it's a great image.

Very nice Rod, but maybe it needs a little whanging! :-D CJ
