Don't know how I could become bored of such sunsets but I am. Maybe it's that things don't seem so sunny these days since they increased my blood pressure medication and I'm lethargic and grumpy all the time. Well done image I guess. -tv

Thanks Carole, Penny & Debi:-) Whang the whang bar up Charlie, you know to turn something up too much. The sliders for brightness or saturation etc are whang bars a:-)

Beautiful sunrise Rod - love those dramatic clouds and lovely rays! :-) CJ

OK. I'm beginning to understand the lingo. "Welly" means "Wellington," and "Straddie" means "Stradbroke." Now if I could just figure out what it means for something to get "whanged." ;-)

I would not have believed that you were up taking a sunrise shot, Rod...thought you were just playing with our heads. However, Charlie says that it's so. Very nice shot, BTW.

Thanks Charlie:-) Yes you're spot on, this is looking east to Straddie. I messed up the clock trying to set it for 12 hour, it's fixed now.
Charlie Beck31-Jul-2008 15:37
By chance, is "Welly Point" a local short name for "Wellington Point"? Unless I am mistaken, that is North Stradbroke Island in the distance. That puts this image on the East coast of Queensland, and that makes this a sunrise (despite what the exit data has to say about the time the image was taken).

I love the colors here: a tight range of yellows and oranges, with a hint or two of blues. Well done.

Thanks Penny, Lydia & Brent:-) This was sunrise Brent the clock on the camera was wrong & I've reset it. I tried to set it on a 12 hour clock & messed it up.

Beautiful girly image Rod ;-) It really is a good one mate. I may be digging some of these type shots out of my hard drive mess for this challenge too. You ever notice how hard it is to decide if it is a sunrise or sunset you are looking at if you don't know the lay of the land? You had me thinking sunrise until I looked at the exif data.
~Brent
