Thanks everyone.... Hey Cat I'll give it a go early this week.... I'm doing "Shoot the Day" today and won't be able to get to it till then. Wish me luck. Thanks again ~Scott

Very good! ~Scott~
It does have a lot of zones in the petals which can be explored further.
Applying a curve adjustment layer with a mask just for the petals will yield good results. Pull the curve down for at least 1-2 F-stops. At present the histogram looks like a cup (low in the middle and high at both ends) representing hi-contrast photo. The above change will fill the cup and make it much more shallow, (will add missing pixels in zone 4-5-6. (Read thread for more info on zone system)

I didn't see the original version, but this is looking quite nice to me Scott (especially with out friend Ansel in mind). Maybe not a lot of zones readily apparent, but they are there. Well done, and again- welcome.

True, Doug. But it's would be nice to see more details there. I think.

The intensity of the flower pedals is what I like about this picture Scott. Maybe not Adams like but I like it none the less. -COAmature

thanks aam... I'm hopeful this one is not so intense. ~Scott~

Hi Scott, nice seeing you here.

Just calibrated my monitor (have a couple of hundreds photos to process) and I think the flower is a bit too bright, if you ask me.

This is harder than it looks because everyones monitor is so different, not like paper.
