I have approximately of Zito's Dogs. Are they worth anything? I found them among my Mothers belongs on her death.

I have a 'like new' (but very old) heavy cotton dish towel screen printed with a Zito dog begging with a plate in his mouth in front of a kitchen counter with canisters and stove with deco coffee pot. Colors are red, yellow, black and small amounts of orange. 'Zito' in corner of red checked floor. I was just poking around trying to find out more about Zito.

i have an original pencil on paper two sided sketch by Zito,on one side is what looks like self portrait and other side is nude Jane Mansfield,or Marilyn Monroe. Any ideas what this could be worth?

I have a spiral bound book with 30 sketches of dogs entitled "And They Call Us Dogs". There is also a page with Zito's picture and a biography of him. It is copyrighted Sept 15, 1937 by Wohlfahrt Studios. Do you know what the value might be? Thank you!

My mother and step father were friends of Zito and used to visit him when they passed through Palm Beach. I grew up with Zito's "Dogs" in the 1940's in U.K. and have several originals which he did including a caricature which he did of my mother and a cartoon of her dog.

I have what I believe are (14) 8 1/2 X 11 original drawings by Zito. He was a friend of my Great Aunt and I acquired the drawings when she passed away. I also have letters that I think were from him that he wrote to her. (I believe he had a different name?).
May I scan/email some to you? I have Ladies first, Tables Turned and several others. They are in excellent condition. I probably wouldn't sell them, unless they were worth a fortune. Is he still living?

I believe Zito is James Montgomery Flagg, a famous American illustrator.

I have a collection of original drawings by Zito. The drawings are of the Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping/Murder in the 30's. I am trying to gain more info on Zito's subject matter. I heard he did other famous people too but have not turned anything up.

I've never seen a red-covered copy, but I doubt it would affect value much. They usually sell for twenty-five bucks or so on eBay when it relatively good shape. As for obtaining biographical information, I suggest you contact some of the people who have also asked similar questions and see if you get anything that way. I personally know virtually nothing about the guy.

I have a "Dogs" though the cover of it is Red unlike the picture on this site being Green. It is spiral bound. Was interested in any information on the author and thepossible value of the book? Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi My dad recently passed away and I found a set of prints that he picked up somewhere by Zito. It is a limited edition of 400, this one being #139 titled "Hunting Hazards" published in 1938. I was wondering if they had any value.

Can you tell whether the 'rough sketch' was done by Zito? (As opposed to someone copying it or doing their own version?)

Value is hard to predict. Try the usual places: eBay, Heritage, Illustration House, etc. I suspect that its value will be limited by virtue of it being on the back of a menu, but if it's truly by Zito and is in good condition, maybe you're on to something. Can you send a photo?
