According to Hoff's niece, Carol Edmonston, based on the distinctive handwriting, the "Sis" who inscribed the book below "A. Redfield" was Hoff's wife (and Carol's aunt).

The dust jacket is exceptionally scarce -- the two pictured below are the only ones I've ever seen.
