Surprise visitors at the feeder today. A few Evening Grosbeaks ate some sunflower seed, and presumably some crabapples in looking at the red on his beak. They didn't stay long.

Wow! Lucky you! I remember when big flocks of these birds arrived in Ottawa every winter and were known as Greedybeaks for all the seed they went through, but now they are very scarce. Superb,beautifully photographed shot. V
