Juvenile Scissor-tailed Flycatcher
When my phone rang this morning, I figured it was a spam call, but then saw it was the local rare bird alert.
Little did I expect to hear this species normally found well to the south would be within an hour’s drive,
but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go and try to see it--a lifer. Luckily for us, we spotted it almost immediately
and watched it for about an hour.
