Immature Cooper's Hawk on an Eastern Chipmunk this afternoon. It tried to fly away with the chipmunk,
but couldn't and dropped it. I don't know if it survived, but I can't find it if it didn't. The hawk
returned a little while later and walked around the cosmos flowers looking for another victim. Shot
through a window and screen, so it is what it is. 😉

My anthropomorphic sympathies are with the chipmunk. But if the chipmunk was damaged, I hope the hawk got a meal so it wasn't in vain.

Looks formidable. I like the flowers and effect of shooting through glass and screen.

Always a conflict to see this... the hawk needs to eat, but I feel so awful for the chipmunk. Nonetheless, a remarkable shot.

Who needs TV when all that's happening outside your window?
Cool shot.
