I enjoyed reading your explanation of the foot, Michael--both the artistic and the practical. A very Zen-like approach to the impossibility of perfection, I think.

Thanks all, comments gratefully received.

Mary Anne, well seen on the left foot. Yes, the position is intentional and the reason is twofold, one artistic and one practical. The artistic reason is that I like to have something in movement...an odd hand position, arched spine, an odd leg or foot position. For me, it helps bring the image "to life" and makes it less statuesque...you found the position uncomfortable so I may or may not be succeeding in that goal. The practical reason is that his girlfriend likes to paint his toenails and, as I recall, they were iridescent blue that day...ergo, my choice that the foot should be in the "odd" position, LOL! Perhaps the practical should not influence the artistic.

No one here does the male nude as well as you do, Michael. This is beautiful. My only nit-pick is his left foot, which seems to be in an awkward position. Or was that intentional?

Very emotive image Michael, and I love the lighting creating those great shadows which really show off his musculature. The shadow on the floor really adds to the image as well as the composition and conversion. VERY nice! :-) CJ

Wow, Michael. This is wonderful. The shadow, when one finally gets there, is amazing too. ~Lydia
