I like it.

Water conservation? WATER CONSERVATION? I could understand electricity conservation, maybe. But a pump would pump the same water over and over and over again. If it evaporated, the same water would fall from the sky again. So, I can't understand how they're saving water by not running the fountain they want to run.

But, I won't say all of that since that would be ranting. *grin*

I think the crack brings 'real life' to it. And makes it less perfect.

I think the crack actually works. Except for the bugler, everyone seems to actually be looking at the crack. I suppose that's because the crack goes through the flag -- but still.... -- Victor

Very nice... like the crack in the structure. -RK

Bob, I know, but it is an earthquake crack within the structure. Sadly, there is supposed to be a huge wall of water, a water falls off to the right of this monument....but for water conservation purposes, it has been turned off for some 25 years now. As a lad, I'd ride my bike down here and would let my imagination roam...this was the most fabulously interesting place in the world to me.

Now it's just frickin` downtown LA.....lol

This is not a dreamscape hi-key image...I wanted to catch the truth of my childhood more than honor the rules of the Challenge.

Ahem

Best Wishes, Traveller

Another interesting image.... ceptin for that unfortunate vertical line which tends to dissect the frame somewhat?
