Universal Birdhouse

Black Forest, CO

This image is a composite of six images, each being exposed approximately one minute. The black around the edges is trees, the light on the horizon is from Colorado Springs, 25 miles away and the birdhouse is a birdhouse ":^) lit by ambient light coming from my windows.

Very neat. I think I'm beginning to understand how you did this.

Pretty cool. I like the bit of color the birdhouse adds.

The 61s shot is put together with 5 others, Tommy. The path of each star can be seen thru a period of 6 minutes. I selected and removed the "black" from all (the 5 other shots) but the background layer (first shot), then overlaid the layers. Yah, light pollution from our little city can be seen at the bottom of the screen, where the stars become much less obvious. Its also apparent that the stars are different colors. Thanks for commenting. Cheers, -mikey

I gues sit was a long night. What did the composite do Mikey, add more stars to the sky? Once again I'm envious since we can rarely see stars because of the glow from NYC. -tv
