What I've wanted to know since this image was first posted....is there some burning and dodging to get some of the glorious highlights that are present on the lower portion and base of the sculpture? Very nice....Best Wishes, Traveller
Penny this is a sculpture made by students at the Victoria University in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. I was a Chemistry Lecturer there some years ago and this was a nostalgia trip for me.
This sculpture is situated adjacent to the Human Movement Faculty at the Uni'. It is brass or bronze and appears to be constructed using strips wrapped around a framework as in Papier Mache'.
Where is this? - If you took more shots, could you share? It looks like bronze (?)
- i love the way the base blends into the sidewalk (almost).
