Good one Gerald I like it.

Nikon certainly do the 'lens cap thing' much better than Canon. It is a real pain in the A__e to get to the lens cap with a 'hooded' lens especially the L series unless you have fingers about ten inches long.

All of my gear is Canon but Nikon certainly do some things a lot better. Anyway, not to create a fuss about such trivial things, this is a good post.

Lydia, of course I pay special attention to avoid any contact between the Nikon lens cap and any Canon parts; therefore, I have put a Sigma lens with a Hoya filter in between as a buffer ;-)

LOL @ Gerald. We all have to think that what we have is best... or we won't be as happy with what we have. *grin*

I would never embarrass my camera with one of 'those' lens caps. *wink*

It's a fun image, well taken, though. ~Lydia

It does not really hurt, Mark. I am not a friend of Canon-against-Nikon controversies; I have used both systems. In fact, I love Nikon lens caps, they have a stronger grip and I can more easily attach them even with a lens hood mounted. Gerald

Ouch. Doesn't that hurt to stuff a Nikon lens cap on such a fine piece of equipment?
