I've learned on my new monitor that I got for _Christ_mas that I have to look at an image in daytime and at nighttime before I post it... or I might get a surprise. *sigh*
Actually, she was right. Her monitor must be cranked up a bit brighter than mine, but even on mine, I could see it. It was actually the oak floor below where I shot this and it was there!
So I've tried to get rid of it in this version. I agree that it was distracting and I knew I was not really setting things up right when I took the shot. A bit more care in the setup would have made it easier.
In one way, I kind of liked a hint of the floor showing through, but the problem, for me, was that it made a discontinuity at the upper left corner more visible where I'd had to remove a more blatant reflection from a file cabinet that had been in the way at that location. Hopefully what I've done to it now is not too obvious yet eliminates the reddish background tinge :)
Thanks, Lydia, for the motivation to do what I probably should have done to begin with :) Jim H.
Wonderful, Jim! It's good to see an entry from you... and this one's so fun! I wish the slight red in the background weren't there... perhaps solid black would be better?
The white glove, blue glass, red gumball in all of the green is GREATness! ~Lydia

Go Jim! I love it when you sneak in under the wire with an image that commands attention. This is great fun with very nicely lighting. -Michael
