I have to agree with Tommy and Traveller, this is a very interesting image that could be made even stronger by a good crop. Well seen, Penny! ~Sharon

Why thanks, Traveller. I will play with this when I get home tonight but it'll be too late to repost it. Just scrolling up and down I can see what you mean, though, and think I will like your ideas. I welcome any future suggestions, too.

Okay, but I would prefer a tighter crop...the bottom third cut out to help focus the image on the central interplay of elements, light and shadows.

And lastly, maybe skew the two outer poles to make them vertical.

Ms. Street I am so happy you are here among us....

Best Wishes, Traveller

thanks to tv (and Lydia) for helping me think this through.

Uh yeah... what tv said.... yeah... THAT's what I was gonna say... *grin* (TV, you're a poet.)

Cool patterns, Penny... the patterned shadows really top it all off. ~Lydia

A painting teacher of mine talked about "crossfertilization of ideas" overlaying and spread through the image. I love this example of that esthetic. It's al most easier to talk in musical terms, it's like a symphony with theme and variations. The green poles state a theme, assertively and forming a dominating pattern. The shadows provide a countertheme, angled and strong. The red ladder is a subtheme imitating a combination of pole theme and shadow theme in a scintillating red counterpoint. This is growing and growing on me. -tv
