Thanks very much all, I appreciate your comments :-) Yes, I have no complaints about that lens Tommy other than wanting a little faster glass occasionally. It is the first lens I got with the camera and I have the luxury of expecting good results from any aperture or focal length it can reach, and it balances really nice on my camera. Soft light was coming from so many places Bob it made my processing quite simple with one exposure.

Really nice Brent, such good detail and crispness. Did you use multiple exposures here or use some skillful PS...( or both ... lol)?

Really good example of a centred composition with leading lines that really send one down the isle.

I think this one shows the glory of an L lens in the right hands. Difficult situation very well managed. In fact, quite amazing. -tv

I really like these converging lines pulling the focus even more centered, Brent. ~Lydia

Thanks Vikas, Tom, and Troy :-) The monorail is a left over from the 1962 Worlds Fair in Seattle Vikas and was thought of as futuristic back then. I don't think it has changed a bit since '62. It brings passengers from the center/centre of downtown to the foot of the Space Needle (also built for the fair) and the former fair grounds which are now called Seattle Center. The monorail at Disneyland was built by the same Swiss transport firm.

Super Brent, this works so beautifully in the centre composition. The colours look stunning. Where was this shot taken?

Cheers, Vikas.

Thanks Sharon, yes I really do ride home on the monorail. One end of the track ends right across the street from my downtown office (I can hear them beep the horn as the train is about to leave) and the other end of the track is about an 8 minute walk from my new flat. I head in to work before monorail service starts in the morning (they cater to tourism) and have to take a smelly, sneezy, crowded bus which I hate even for 15 minutes. But I love my trip home whipping down 5th Avenue high above the traffic with plenty of elbow room and no foul odors or concentration of germs in the air :-)

Do you really get to commute on the monorail, Brent? My husband is so jealous! You had a nice clear day for this shot, it's so bright and cheerful. And, with the centered composition you get a clear sense of forward momentum. Well done! ~Sharon
