You play for 'big' stakes Pete... remind me never to challenge you to a game... lol

Interesting comments, I think I would prefer the sharp focus to be on the coins and the rest slightly more subtle, legible but not the main subject. Thats just my two peneth worth and we all have our personal preference.

Great post Pete ~ Regards Melbob

Pete, I agree with Lydia re the dof. However, for the effect you are looking for you could try reducing the DOF so the RF and £50 is sharp, but foreground and background blurred. I think that would work. Regards, Naj.

Thank you all for your comments.
Victor the two stacks are £1 coins, perfect size!
Yuvraj/Lydia, my first attempt was to focus on the coins but this really didn’t work. I then introduced more chips and deliberately wanted the £50 notes and Royal Flush to take centre stage as this would reap more money for the stack. Also thought much more over f11 would have too much in focus and then look a bit flat, I’m open for comments on this. Thanks again PeteV.

What kind of coins are those? That's about the size and aspect ratio I've been telling people I would prefer for $1 coins. -- Victor

Good take on the subject, Pete. I wish the stack were more in focus, since the words lead my eyes right to it. ~Lydia
