Flying Stem

Seattle, WA

These geese conspired to make their escape. When they started
to fly away, the glass broke at the base of the stem.
They were last seen heading South to a warmer climate.

I have added some test under the image, in an effort to explain the image. I could easily cut a straight line at the bottom of the "broken stem," and I will consider making that change when I get home.

Actually, this image was backlit by a single lamp within the china cabinet. In order to get that angle, the camera was so low that the glass shelf was in front of the base of the stem.

Lovely... Yes, I also feel the stem should rather not have disappeared like that. Could it be that you needed to cut off whatever was holding the glass? Perhaps a different angle or different crop could have avoided that... or some Photoshopping? :-) :-) Good work, though. Regards jnconradie

Nice & well lit. Not sure about the cut off stem though? It has such a nice luminescence.
