Regarding Melbob's comment I tried boosting up the contrast but after playing with it I found this to be the optimal level. ~ AM
I think this is a beautiful composition and really poignant. Great B & W conversion and interesting story to tell.
For this challenge ( and considering "... how far can you go... aspect) it could afford to have the contrast boosted a little more but not so as to detract from the serenity that this image displays.
