Now that I understand the psychology behind success of Playboy and failure of playgirl... I must say that it helped me understand this image better.
BTW I like the crisp $$$ bills contrasting against the smooth skin!!

LOL
I'm surprised to see so many comments (but grateful as I always learn something). This fellow is a new 'Chippendale'. (believe it or not). He is out of shape. He came to our college class for free image to put up on the website. We get the experience, he gets the photos. The money thing was my idea, campy yes, but that is exactly what I was going for. Actually, none of the kids took shots of this setup, just 58 year old me LOL! They took him actually stripping, down to these cute undies. It was so much fun!

What an interesting discussion thread you have opened up here Debbi? Here I am thinking "photography' and 'learning' never realising all sorts of other educational aspects open up in these challenges... :-)

At least now I understand why one occasionally sees a stunning gorgeous looking creature arm-in-arm with an individual freshly plucked from the high branches of the Amazonian Forrest... I will understand what is going on there... Ummmm ;-)

Struggling back.... Now... Debbi... I love (woops... strike that word..) like this because it has stimulated an interesting discussion... so obviously it sends a message.

I do agree with Lydia in that you could afford to up the contrast level a bit more and I think it would have a greater impact as well.

Great concept, excellent composition... but he is a cheapskate... unless the last note has a couple of zeros we cannot see ...lol.

Yes, Lydia, and that is precisely why Playgirl failed. :) ~ Lonnit

I like the shot, Debbi, but it could use more contrast to fit the topic a bit better, in my opinion.

LOL @ Lonnit and Traveller. I think, Lonnit, that the difference is that Men are turned on by sight of Women. Women need affection and love to be turned on. Women weren't made to get turned on by sight... but by feelings. It takes love... not just looks. It's a good thing, too... or humans would be like rabbits. *grin*

But, that has nothing to do with anything here. Just a free psychology lesson... no extra charge. *grin* ~Lydia

How funny - Trav, giving the man's POV, and thinking this is a hot body. Now, here comes Lonnit, the woman, thinking this is so stupid looking, campy, and inane - how do women think this is hot? To me it just couldn't be more of a turnoff. The thing is that I do think that women shots like this are very sexy - I understand the allure. But men? It's just so hokey and unappealing. There's nothing masculine about it, and they just look like they're in love with themselves.

This is no commentary on your photography, Deb; you did fine with that. :) ~ Lonnit

Well.......! We know how you spend your nights....and money!...lol

I will additionally note that he has a very nice body!

I write the above with some trepidation, presuming that people will understand what I mean...but it is a dynamite body.

Best Wishes, Traveller (blushing)
