A nice capture. You did well to keep the BHs under control!

I missed that one, Ann. I googled it and did find a book and a movie made in 1974, but couldn't find any pix. It does sound scary, tho. This one was just rusting. Cheers, -mikey

Did you ever read the science fiction story called "Killdozer"? This is creepy in the same way. :) Ann

Extreme is a relative term. For a radical guy, extreme is sorta normal. When you ask a radical guy to shoot a high contrast pic, you get a very high contrast pic ";^D) Just kidding! Cheers, -mikey

Certainly has high contrast Mikey, probably safe to say 'in the extreme'? No question about it being on-topic.

Depending upon ones monitor settings the top disappears or becomes slightly visible and I can understand Victors comments.

Set against a light background it becomes a little distracting. I think you cleverly set it to disappear against the gallery background?

I like it because it is interesting, exploritive and I like the textures in this, especially the framework top LHS. Not so sure about the smoothed/blurred grass tussocks in the foreground though. For me that tends to be a little 'out of character' compared to the surroundings... but then that is the wonderful thing about these challengers. We get to enjoy the hard work of others 'free of charge'

Congratulations for being the first Eligible post. ~ Regards Melbob

Contrast too high, eh? Hehe..thanks, Gerry! Cheers, -mikey

Subject and composition are great, but just a bit too "contrasty" for my taste. -mcbit

Thanks for commenting Lydia, Trav & Victor. It is the horizon and I must admit I darkened it so as the muffler and fence would appear to "stick up". Granted, the compression is high, but its at the best level I could manage and still get it under 150K. Cheers, and thanks again for the kind words. -mikey

OK. I guess that makes sense. Perhaps it would present better on a different background. It's very close in color to the gallery background color. Less compression would probably help, too. -- Victor

Victor, there is no top edge, that's just the Horizon...Traveller

I Love what's going on along the top edge...that aspect works VERY well for me. Traveller

I don't understand what's going on along the top edge. Can you explain that? I don't think it works for me. -- Victor

I like old tractors. This artwork needs an artist's name. ~Lydia
