This will, no doubt, either take everyone back to the childhood they had... or the one they wish they had. Good job, Lonnit. ~Lydia

It's just a .7 sec exposure with second curtain flash. Pretty straight-forward. I'm glad you like it. :) ~ Lonnit

Nice and intriguing shot, but to me it's fascinating not least because of parts that are indeed *in* focus. The "countless wires", the metallic shines, the fine lines in moving shades and light, their feet.. etc. Puzzled by how you got the effect in particular on the wires. Almost like you used stroboscope flash. Then again, the more smooth motion blur in the lower part of the image seem too continuous for that.

I agree with you and thats what I am hoping too, but motion blur is seen differently by different experts. While out-of-focus is more a property of the lens and related DOF caused by different F numbers one chooses to shoot the subject, including bokeh (boke) etc. Motion blur is not the property of the lens, its more due to the movement of either the subject, or the camera-unit or both... so... you see why I raised this question.
Eitherway, I have already told you my opinion on this photo.

Thanks. If this isn't out of focus, what is! LOL! ~ Lonnit

Love it, good work! Hope the topic provides for motion blur to be included!

Great motion and it gets me involved. I remember riding something like this, I remember my children riding something like this and I'm anticipating my granddaughter riding something like this. Thanks, Lonnit, I enjoyed this ride.
