Nico--Walking by this mundane fence near Fort Popham in Brunswick, Maine, I wondered how on earth would it ever make an interesting subject for photography (I often do that). Upon entering my car, I noticed my hat sitting on the backseat. I flung it over the post and then marveled at the bight, pleasing image I saw on the D's LCD screen. Of the hundreds of images I took on my vacation along the Maine coast, this is my favorite. shu
