Pops..I agree with you totally. I used a "plant mister" for the droplets and discovered later that an eyedropper would have worked better, as the drops would have been uniform and larger.
I'm so sorry to hear about your Trish..this was in dedication to my mom who died of breast cancer last April. It is still hard to talk about and images express more than words.

There has got to be a balance between focal length of the lens, distance to the background subject and distance to the plane of drops. My only complaint here is that the droplets are just to small and I'm not getting the sharp detail in the drop that I want to see. Gosh, someday I have to play with this technique.
I'm very sympathetic to your choice of M&M as I've got a niece who is in the last stages of fighting breast cancer. She will not be with us much longer. Every time I see something like this it makes me think of Trish and I'm grateful that you've sent my thoughts in that direction.
