Thanks Cat, I don't have any studio provision here nor anybody to use as a model etc. so I have to resort to the 'electronic' studio mostly and try to be a little creative. Much appreciate your supportive comments, Thanks Cat.

I am really impressed by your PS skills and great ideas and comps that you come up with where you get a chance to use them.

Thanks Julie and Nico... I am happy to share. I will post the details of each stage in my "How Did I Do That" gallery but that will take a little time to complete.

Meanwhile... basically it is a composite and all shadows etc are hand painted. I photographed a sheet of paper and painted out the surrounds, then successively Copy/Paste onto itself making several layers of a sheet of paper. Selecting each one at a time transformed/Warped each sheet to give some composition then progressively masked and darkened each single layer to try and get believable shadows.

Did make a mistake as seen top right... but decided I like the transparent look so left it there.

The other photos were taken individually, extracted from their background and pasted. Again shadows painted as appropriate.

The paper clips are those plastic ones ... to put a face on the paper... as you would... lol!

Nicely done, Melbob. I was not too sure I could figure out how you did this (which is a compliment in itself, I think)... the shadows look incredibly real... but with your PS skills it could also be composites. Care to share? Regards jnconradie

I like the decration on the nib and the curve of the paper in this. Nicely lit too, Melbob
