Thanks Pops, what a nice compliment! That's one of the wonderful things about the challenges - seeing other's images that make us think about the world around us and then trying to capture the beauty in everyday objects and scenes. I certainly have drawn inspiration from many of your images too and we seem to have similar tastes as we both entered track pictures in the last challenge! I think it's the simplicity of the images which we both seem to be drawn to. CJ

I see a picture like this and I say to myself, "Man, I wish I'd done that. Why don't I ever see this type of image? They are so cool." So I make a mental note to watch out for just this type of thing. And, he thinks, "That just what the challenges are supposed to do." Thanks, CJ, for this excellent image and the lesson.

Thanks Lee and thank you Michael for your opinion! I think I will leave the black grass in the background. CJ

Elegant, CJ. I favor the black grass at the top...makes for very interesting lines in the composition. Lovely. -Michael

Thank you Ann and Julie! Saw this at a Reunion party and I really liked the lines of the chair but I did get a few strange looks while taking this picture! I'll look into what the image might look like without the black "lawn" but thought it added a bit of interest to the concrete background and might make the image feel cramped if cropped out. CJ

CJ, I really like this one. The placement of the chair is masterly. I wonder whether it might be stronger still without the black sloping line at the back? Maybe not. Julie

I love this one. Love the contrast between the white seat and dark back. Love the simplicity of composition. Very very nice. Ann C
