Thanks, Jim. On my monitor, this image is about 6.75" tall. ~ Lonnit

I love the expression! And with that "Grad!" balloon in hand, it's just a crack up. To me, this could also work for the "Capturing Emotion" challenge. You must run your monitor at a fairly low resolution. On both my work and home systems, this doesn't come close to filling the available space. But I also understand the concern about posting shots large enough to be worth stealing too. In any case, it's an adorable photo of a kid expressing her true feelings about being forced to attend this event. Excellent! Jim H.

Love this Lonnit, great shot, great mood to it with the expression on the little girl's face.

Cheers, Vikas.

It's not so small. On my monitor (19") it is filling the browser window, with enough room under for the title. I don't go bigger than this for two reasons:
1) I license my images for stock, so if someone wants to use them, I don't want them taking high rez images for free.
2) I compose my images very carefully for best impact. If the image is hanging off the browser window, half hidden, the viewer is not seeing it the way I intended. By limiting size to fit the browser, someone cannot view the image partially.

Why are you posting everything so small? We don't all have the great eyes of youth

Thanks, Tomi. Yes, I couldn't believe she just walked over and stood there like that. I don't know what was on her mind, but I couldn't resist the shot, as she was just perfect. ~ LOnnit

Ok, I added a bit of grain, albeit not enough to make much of a difference on an image of this size. The original looks good though. ~ Lonnit

Oh, Nico, I did wrestle with those thoughts myself. You certainly know I'd never let something like that pass unnoticed! LOL! In the end, however, I decided that the trashiness of it was appropriate for the mood of the image. I do know it is a bit of a distraction, and the urge is to pull it, but then it would no longer be street photography, it would be a portait to make a parent happy, and that wasn't what I was after. I do not know the girl. She was visiting for the private party that was being held at our pool club.

I do want to make a change to the image though - It desperately needs some grain. It's too clean. I'll add it an re-upload. Thanks for commenting! ~ Lonnit

... and she does seem to be quite a "character"! :-)

Great capture of the moment. I would have been so tempted to try to crop out or clone out some of the "stuff" on the right... or would such editing have messed up the very reality you tried to portray? Compliments and regards jnconradie
