Thank you, Michael, for your unfettered comment! LOL!

CJ, thank you. I think you might be set too dark though. You should be able to see the right lower leg, with just a hint of the left lower leg. You may want to double check your brightness against the calibration bar.

Mary Anne. I had no choice but to replicate into the middle b/c the center looked like a spider web pattern, but it didn't line up exactly, so I needed to cover it up! I simply made lemonade! LOL! ~ Lonnit

Well done Lonnit! I like it dark so the lower part of your legs don't show as then it really looks like a flower on my monitor. Very creative! CJ

Lonnit, this is such a cool shot. I especially like the way you made the little bow in the middle. Very well done.

Thank you, Tom. I was thinking precisely that when I had to tuck the final layer under the first. :) I love Escher's work. Due to obnoxious masking problems (saving or altering the file would cause the masks to "crap-out") I had a difficult time with the image. Frankly, the very hardest part was the BW conversion. I went through a multiplicity of techniques, layering several atop one another, then partially masking, until I got the conversion I wanted. Ironically, it is showing up here a slight tad darker in the shadows than it was in PS.

Thank you, Jim. Funny how sometimes you just can't toss a file. One of my personal favorites was one that I kept trying to toss, but couldn't part with it. It was OOF and the subjects head got cut off. Can't get worse than that, right? Turned out to be a wonderful piece of art and won a ribbon. LOL! Got to stick with the gut on these things! If you can't bear to part with a file, no matter how much you think it stinks, then there's something in there that is of value - you've just got to bring it out. :)

Julie. Thank you. It was inspired by the footware challenge. I was too late and at that point the image stank! LOL! ~ Lonnit

I'm glad you didn't delete the files. This came out very nice. You've inspired me with this. ;) Jim H.

What a star Lonnit! Very creative. This image would have also done well in the Footwear comp. Julie

Thanks, Sharon. The funny thing is that when I took them, I looked at them on the computer then, upset about something else, was in no mood and trashed them. I knew I could retrieve them from the card, but I figured I'd really not gotten anything and so out they go. Yesterday, when I went to use the camera, I was about to format, then decided that maybe I'd keep them and see how I feel later. There were only a half dozen shots in the set. When I downloaded the day's images, I decided to salvage two frames. Now, after working them, I know why they wouldn't let me trash them. LOL! ~ Lonnit

Fabulous, Lonnit! I could tell what you had done right away, what amazes me is that you thought to do it in the first place! It looks really great. I love the way your skirt actually makes the tops of your legs look truncated. Good work and a very unusual perspective! ~Sharon

It does look a slight bit darker here than in PS. I took a shot of my legs, as I was sitting, then multiplied it six times, then took the whole set and shrank/rotated it twice. I thought it was pretty interesting, if nothing else. LOL! ~ Lonnit

What in the World is this Lonnit? How did you create it? The over all piece seems a little dark to me, but you probably had to be careful to not blow the highlights.

I would write if I didn't think it interesting in the extreme.

Hummm
