I'm glad to hear these were beads. My first guess was phosphorescent jello. I think there was a movie where that ate Philladelphia or something. Anyways ... excellent shot!

Thanks, Nico. The glass is a Waterford champagne flute. The red "crystals" are faceted plastic beads that I found laying around the house. Mrs. Pops bought them for some Christmas decoration that never happened. The light is one of my all time favorites. It's a Mini Maglite flashlight powered by two AA batteries and has a single lamp. In a darkened room I shone the light on the red crystals for a 30 second exposure. Gosh, I love painting with light!

Wow, Pops! Those crystals (what is it, actually?) seems to glow and sparkle from some magical internal light source! I think it is one of the loveliest reds I have seen in a while. How did you light this? Compliments and regards jnconradie
