Mary Anne, I have been looking at this one a couple of times without commenting since I could not quite get to the right words. I think I now know what story this communicates to me...
"Delicate intrusion" is the phrase that comes to (my) mind. It looks as if the flower was peaceful and quite, perhaps even shy, hidden in the darkness, like an undiscovered treasure. And then this one tiny soft beam of light intruded on it... yet in a most delicate and sensitive manner; displaying the key components of the its hidden beauty for person lucky enough to be present.
Your photograph definitely paints a lovely "story" - well, to me at least. Regards jnconradie
