There Was A Young Lady Whose Eyes.......

Were unique as to colour and size.
When she opened them wide,
People all turned aside,
And started away in surprise.

Thanks, Charlie and Lonnit, for helping out.

I knew something was not quite right, but I was too pressed for time to sort it out. Never too old to learn, as they say! :-)

Thanks, shu, for reading it in the tongue-in-cheek spirit it is intended. Regards jnconradie

(Yeah, but are they "published?") Very funny limericks and I'm glad my grandaughter Jo is responsible for all of this funny stuff. shu

Nico, your problem was that your meter was wrong. You can't use "pointy purple" b/c it's one syllable too much, so you'll never get the rhythm going. See, Charlie fixed that and was able to tear straight through! :) Once you fix that, there's no end to the possibilities! LOL! ~ Lonnit

Some ladies with purplish hair,
Which caused their young suitors to stare,
Found themselves in great trouble,
Lain down in the rubble,
With their legs flailing up in the air.

How about this, Nico?

Some ladies with purplish hair,
Which caused their young suitors to stare,
Blew them kisses to show
Just how far they would go.
It’s a pity that I wasn’t there.

Sorry, just couldn't resist.

Oh, and nice shot, Shu.

I wish I was a better word-artist, then I would not have been able to resist the temptation to commment in a limerick of my own... "Some Ladies with Pointy Purple Hair, Which caused their young suitors to stare..."

:-) But the rest I could not come up with! :-)

Nicely informal and lighthearted... funny and off-the-wall. Just like many of limericks themselves, coming to think of it.

Well done, shu
