Breakfast at....(By Truman Capote) * Traveller

I wanted Bright and Airy...much like the Novel itself. I have other versions of this later in the day...in which I prefer the clock time much better but, play with color balance as you might...the image never regains the silver tinge that I have in this version. Yes, I know that the Golden Hour is nice for Photography...but not here, not for what I wanted.

You know, Traveller, you are possibly the only other person I know who has actually read the novel, LOL! I think you were ever so right to accentuate the bright sterling look which is the Tiffany hallmark of the allegory that Capote chose so well. My only nit is that the compulsive in me would have cloned out the bright supports of the "Tiffany & Co." lettering...however, they are very effective in helping to draw the eye to this very important element, so my compulsiveness might be a huge mistake. -Michael

Mr. Capote was in the throughs of his crash and burn when I was coming up...he was in the middle of writing Answered Prayers....but never wrote well again (nor did I...lol) or even finished that book.

There is no reason for you to have read it...but it was made into a fairly decent movie, which is why I thought people would get the reference.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Three guesses who has not read the book! :-) Blush all over again!

Well, Nico, I twisted and torqued this puppy Transform quite a bit to get as straight as lines as possible...I do have a clock at 6:00 but it is all Golden....and in fact the letters are Gold on the building...but I want silver....and airy....not dense and rich.

If you know the book, they did meet at Tiffany's in the afternoon...Breakfast was just a promise.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Probably displaying horrible ignorance here, Traveller, but I did not know there really is a place / building / company with this name? Blush Blush.

As you indicated in your comments, the time of clock is probably a bit out of place for breakfast (was this a very early morning breakfast?), but otherwise the shot is crisp and sharp and well constructed.

I like the words being so well-aligned at the bottom and all the shades of colour on the walls. Nicely seen and captured, Sir! Regards jnconradie
