It is a composite of two images. -Elena

I remember this from you web site and thought the series in the abandoned hotel was so interesting and well done! Very creative and great timing to get that wonderful expression on "Alice's" face! Is this a composite of just 2 images? CJ

Sounds like a scary place! As for the cast, the artist must always be true to herself first. :) I'm so glad you've wandered into the challenges. Stick around!! :) ~ Lonnit

I took the girls to abundant hotel. They did not like it there (on the dark first floor). And then this cat's screaming started (really awful). We looked everywhere but never found this cat...
O, and I did correct background to give this "incandescent color-cast".I like it!

Hmmm... interesting thing happening over here - I don't necessarily like the shot beyond the girl herself, but I do appreciate its artistic merit. The expression is priceless, and undeniably right out of the story. Was this her actual communion, or is this a staged image? I was curious if you'd asked her to make that leery/puzzled expression, or if she'd come up with it on her own, naturally, or otherwise, and if it was natural, what caused it? Everything about the child is perfection. I've no problem with the background distortion, as it supports the odd expression. I think my issue is merely a technical one of the incandescent color-cast, which to me, begs to be corrected, but perhaps only in the background but not in the child, as it works well on her. Quite excellent work, as usual. :) ~ Lonnit

Yes, it's me.
I love that your Alice is so different!!!!!
(Just shows how very personal and relative this world is...)

Hi Elena. If you are the same person who commented about my version of Alice in Wonderland, thanks, but I think your Alice looks more like Alice than my Alice. :)

Elena, after seeing this post I went for another visit to your PBase galleries to see if you had perchance done more in this style. And I was of course delighted to see a whole series of this "work in progress" there. You are indeed a most creative photographer, inspiring me to try things with my camera I would probably not have thought of myself. Thanks for the post! :-) Regards jnconradie

Elena, You are without a doubt, my favorite artist here. No disrespect to anyone else, but your images always amaze me and I can't wait to see what you will post next. Jim H2

This really does have a surreal, fantasy feel to it. The light on her face is very curious! I like it a lot! ~Sharon
