Great shot, ISO!! I love the warehouse colors and feel to this, along with the slant.
I'm not sure where the comments about "composite" are coming from but, I did take notice of the fact that the chair base looks very pronounced against the garage floor, maybe that was what led some to think that? Markjay

I knew it would be so incredibly out of character for you to mess up, and the light looked right otherwise, so I was extremely confused! LOL! Thanks for confessing it's real. :) ~ Lonnit

ISO,
Even the thumb nail screems this as yours!
I like it all what is presented here. The only thing I would have done differently is the skin tones.

I spent some time last night trying to figure out why this looked like a composite, because the closer I looked at it, the less I could confirm that it was a composite. The lighting, for example, checks out, even though it looks wrong at a glance. What I concluded after some inspection was that the following features are the strongest indicators (to me) that this is a composite:

* The background (including the ground under the chair) has mostly a rough texture. The model and chair have a fine texture. This gives the impression they were shot at different ISO settings or were scaled relative to each other. It doesn't take much thinking to realize that a leather chair is smoother than concrete, for example. Same for other elements of the picture.

* The border of the model and the chair vs. the background is very sharp.

* Skin surfaces not facing the camera are green. You might see this if the model were shot in front of a green screen. The problem with this, though, is that her leg next to the armrest is green, and clearly, she is actually sitting on the chair, so the chair would block the green screen.

* The lighting in the room overall seems soft. But the shadow of the model's sleeve seems very sharp.

* As Lonnit says, the chair does not seem to be sitting on the floor correctly. However, considering that it's got 5 legs and is sitting on a rough surface, we should expect up to 2 of the legs not to be touching. -- Victor

Thanks for getting back to us iso...I was almost convinced that this WAS a composite. But, being the master of light that you are, I figured that you would be one of the few people that could pull off this shot without the need of trickery...and hey, you did!

Even if this is NOT a composite, I still love it...(grin)

No it isn't a composite. Hand held 1/40 iso800 F2.8. All the lights are directly overhead and not exactly powerful. Overall they give a fairly even spread of light and this is why the shadows are not visible I'd guess. I've used another of these images on the main page of my website, if you want to see another *composite* for comparison ;)

This appeals to my sensibilities, fun and very expressive. The pose is marvelous and I like the eye contact. I also like the overall ambiance given to the image. Great chair too {smile}. -Michael

I'm feeling composite here. The chair does not seem to be sitting on the floor correctly, nor does it cast a shadow, and the arm is of less sharpness than the concrete of the same distance. Oh, I see others are thinking the same. Nice shot though. My daughter says so too. :) ~ Lonnit

A composite? That never crossed my mind...hummm? The only criticism of iso that I might make, is that he very well may not tell us....well, at least not until after the Challenge if then.

Very intriguing image! I have to agree with Victor that it looks like a composite but it's the sharpness and saturation of the chair and model compared to the setting that looks different to me, unless you meant it to look like this! :-) I also like the tilt and feel it suits the image well. CJ

ISO, The lighting of the garage doesn't seem to match the lighting of the model/chair. This looks like a composite to me. That being said, Lonnit may be surprised that I actually like the tilt in this picture. I think she overdoes tilt, and I usually don't like it. But if fits the composition here. -- Victor

I knew that this was an iso without looking....lol

It is the out-of-placedness that makes this picture so effective...the tilt and handling of difficult lighting also help make this a striking & captivating image.
