Thanks JN, Michael and Sharon. This is an antique doll which belonged to my grandmother and I think she is gorgeous, but my grand-daughters find her creepy, so they share the shudder factor.
I want to laugh and shudder all at the same time! It looks funny (not sure why) but also runs a tingle up my spine... as if some person is behind a mask, spying on me! :-)
