Thanks Nico and Michael!
I really had a problem with that bright spot in the "neck".
There is an large halogen projector just out of the top frame.
I had to choose an exposure that would cater for the dress detail and the residual low-level light. I "had" to make a choice, since the exposure range was well out of the camera's envelope (even considering a PP double exposure from RAW, which was used). I elected to have that area over-exposed, in order to better control the noise in the dark areas. Actually, a bigger area was burned out. I managed to limit it to this, by recovering the most I could from a RAW "underexposure".
But I clearly see what you mean. Me too, I feel the bright spot somewhat "steals" the composition...

Many things that I like about this. Nice soft grey-blues, angle of view, strong angular shapes, fantastic texture on the gown. I'm wondering if there would be a benefit to burn down the top of the mannequin so that it's not quite as strong a focal point. -Michael

The colours work together perfectly. The lighting is great and the whole image just has a nice "feel" to it. Lovely! Regards jnconradie
