Yes, that is exactly what I did (superimposed) ..only changing the blend modes to 'soft light'. I was surprised at the result. The lens was a 100mm macro

Creative thinking, Deb. Not your every day fork abstract :-) What lens did you use do capture this... just curious? Markjay

I like your thinking with this one Debbi.... you have superimposed the image and vertically flipped and merged it to create a very nice composite with character and a sense of 'offset' symmetry.

Well thought out and composed, very nice. ~ Regards Melbob

This is great Debbi! I'd like to try something like this too although I'll never get better than this! CJ

I like this a lot. While it does not try to hide what the object is, it doesn't leap out as being a fork, making this a much more effective photo.

I have seen many knife/fork/spoon close-ups, but this must count as one of the best. The DOF is super-thin, the focus is perfect, composition well thought-through and the end-result is impressive. (I thought a little more noise reduction would have been in order, but then again, perhaps this was exactly the look-and-feel you were after.) Thanks for a super post. jnconradie
