Monet

Canada

First the humans imitated nature with their paint brushes, as in Monet's paintings. Then it took my breath away when I found this occurrence of nature imitating the results of the humans' paint brushes.

I personally like the "real" look without trying the effects to make it look like a painting. Here was a real quick & dirty attempt at adjusting the colors in curves & bumping up the saturation:

I hope you don't mind that I modified a copy of your picture. Please let me know if you want me to remove it. I'll gladly take it down!!

Thanks Jeannie. I have tried different ways to PP the photo, but whatever I did just looked like Photoshop work. So I left the photo the way it was in real world. Here are a couple versions, the first one looks more like a photo, and the second looks more like a painting. If anybody likes them better, let me know.

Dylan, I really like this "painting". I don't care for the blue/green cast, though. It might be the actual tint like if it was an early morning or evening picture, but I think this photo would be greatly improved with some levels or curve adjustment. You could really make the reds/oranges/yellows pop. -- Jeannie
