A scene close to my own heart LOL. Learning my lesson I try not to leave desserts for later ;) With the cam inside the fridge, you managed the composition so very well.

Wow that's a clean fridge! You even polished off the butter. Cute expression and idea. ~kt

For the record: I've just had an Eskimo Pie... yummi!

Great idea! And very well-done. I never would have thought of such a thing :) (Besides, my refrigerator is way too icky to photograph.) --Melanie

Thanks, Matt. Your suggestions for improvement are excellent. I can kick myself for not thinking of something like that in the first place. Thanks for the comment. Regards ~jnconradie

I love this shot! Very creative. The only thing that would have made it better (in my opinion) is a box of baking soda in the door or a plate with nothing but crumbs on it on the shelf.

Cheers!

Thanks, Vikas, Lee, Michael and Nugar. Much appreciated. (Thanks for the Eskimo Pie Story, Nugar. Wonderful stuff!) Regards ~jnconradie

LOL!!!! Man, this strikes chord (cord?)! On weekends mostly (that I notice) an ice cream lolly (?) vendor walks by our street and I usually buy four "Eskimo pies" (vanilla ice covered with a chocolate crust). One for each of us, my wife, daughter, son and myself.

I usually respect their Eskimo pies, but if I see that a couple of days have passed and their stuff if untouched... oh, man! I'll them and get into trouble! LOL!!!

And my kids will yell to their mother: MOM!! Dad ate our Eskimo Pies!!!!

OMG; I want an Eskimo Pie now :o(

Oh, and nice photo ;o)

Great idea and nicely done, Nico. The title is a bit out of context, tho. As others have mentioned, you must have eaten more than just desserts, ha! Cheers, -mikey

Too cute.

:-D Nico this is super. Love the child's expression and of course the complete emptiness inside the refrigerator. Excellent.

Cheers, Vikas.

Thanks, everyone.

My thanks to my willing helper and "model" (who is also a keen photographer) and to my better half for allowing me to un-pack the fridge.

Bob, the "view from the other side" is athttp://www.pbase.com/jnconradie/image/72494351 which will then also show the cable release. No damage to the fridge though! :-)

Sam, thanks. I was also worried about that, but I think the fact the camera was moved in and out many times to check and change settings, helped to prevent it from getting too cold.

Thanks again for the comments ~jnconradie

You can't fool us Nico - you took this shot in an appliance store! NOBODY has a refrigerator this empty at this time of the year, or any other time! Cute shot BTW! ;-) CJ

And the camera battery worked in the cold? You are not only talented, you are a technology wizard. Sam Attal.

Nico... this is terrific, love the child's expression... but...?? an empty fridge? .. at this time of the year.. you must have had a bunch of hungry Xmas visitors?

Very well done, can't see evidence of a long remote cable?... so did you just use timer for this? ... I don't suppose you punched a hole in the side of the fridge to take a shot??.. but then.. some posters are really keen?

Rgards, Bob

A great expression makes this empty fridge image special. I'm sure we've all been thinking about the possibilities on the theme "empty," and are always amazed at the variety of images entered by so many very clever photogs from all over the world! Great entry! shu

Only the dessert??? It looks like he ate everything. I love the expression on the child's face...just perfect.
