Photokhan, this is just my opinion, but I agree with you for whatever it's worth. The blue might make it more colorful but it would not have the same impact or "feel". This is a beautiful and striking image as is. Again, just my opinion.
OK, then I'll change my comment to; I'd love to see you go back here and do another version when the sky glows that beautiful blue, before it turns dark. :) Oh, the animal sounds must have been wonderful! ~ Lonnit

Changing the sky color would alter the overall atmosphere of the photo, in my opinion.
Apart from the burned-out moon, the photo truly conveys how the night scene looked at the time of the capture (there was just some very slight mist/low clouds floating around...).
What it doesn't convey is all the strange animal noises coming from the mountain road surrounding woods, at 2 am...:)
