I agree with Michael, a wonderful capture of a very special occasion KT, and... a thoughtful take on this theme. The crop also works better for me. Well done and regards, Bob

Michael, a heartfelt thanks for your thoughtful words. I'm afraid I did not do him justice. Need to work on venue photography. Compounding the problem as you surmised were blurry eyes as well as shaky hands from the impact of the moment. Hopefully as you say there will be many more opportunities.

You are absolutely right about the cropping. It should also help reduce the significance of a particularly large head. Thanks again for your comments and allowing me to indulge myself. ~kt

It's a marvelous image, kt, but I think I'd crop a bit off the left side and go for symmetry with the background since your subject is already nicely off center of the middle panel. But frankly, that's a minor nit.

This is indeed an image of passage, in every sense of the word. If my child was doing his first performance in Glenn Gould Studio, I think my eyes would be so full of joyous tears that the image would likely not even be in focus. Congrats to you and your son for a very extraordinary accomplishment. I can only wish that he has many years of performance at that keyboard and that you get bored with shooting him so often. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful moment. -Michael
